I am fascinated by the connection between genome organisation, gene expression and disease. I also like travelling and definitely food. 😋 Currently, at Stowers Institute, I am exploring the use of machine learning tools to decipher the link between genome organisation and gene expression. I developed a profound interest in biophysics during the later stages of my Bachelor's degree. This passion led me to secure a scholarship in Quantitative Life Sciences at ICTP, Italy.
Along this journey, I embarked on two years of research adventures, initially at the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology in Austria, where I specialized in modeling chromatin dynamics within the Goloborodko Lab.
Subsequently, I further honed my skills in Fudenberg's lab at the Department of Quantitative and Computational Biology, University of Southern California. In Fudenberg's lab, I employed Deep Learning techniques to further understand the complex 3D structure of the genome. These experiences significantly enhanced my abilities as a researcher.
My current focus lies in harnessing computational resources to uncover the intricate connections between chromatin dynamics, 3D genome organization, and gene expression.
